Together
Lake City Cycle, founded in 2019 in Burnaby, is an inclusive, recreational cycling community. We focus on fun, social engagement, health, and fitness. Our members enjoy weekly coached rides and endurance-focused rides led by an amazing group of kind and encouraging volunteers. By cycling together, we aim to foster community, share great experiences, and promote health and well-being.

Training
Our club offers weekly Tuesday coached group rides to help New Riders and Experienced Riders improve their skills in group riding, bike handling and improve fitness

Group Rides
Cycling is a team sport and Saturday rides are all about sharing the load, pace lines and practicing team work. The focus is on doing longer distance rides starting from 50 to 100 km +, at various speeds, depending on group levels

We welcome cyclists of all levels and abilities, from beginners to advanced riders. Our inclusive membership spans ages 20 to 70+, with rides tailored to meet various fitness and skill levels.

A no-drop ride means no rider is left behind. Our group rides are designed to keep everyone together, ensuring a supportive and enjoyable experience for all participants, regardless of their pace.

You’ll need a well-maintained road bike (e-bikes excluded), a properly fitted helmet, and front and rear lights for safety. We also recommend carrying basic tools (like a spare tube and pump), water, and snacks for longer rides.

Not at all! Our C Riders group is perfect for beginners or recreational cyclists looking to improve skills and fitness in a welcoming environment. We also have faster-paced A and B groups for those seeking more challenge.

We offer structured group rides, including Tuesday evening rides focused on aerobic fitness and Saturday morning rides that develop group riding skills and endurance over longer distances.
